These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cultivation Sect Simulator (Chinese title: 云水有归处; package name com.jcgame.shanmenzhiwai.global), referred to as the “Game,” and provided by jcgame (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
1. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the Game for lawful, non-commercial entertainment purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the platform from which you obtained it.
2. The Game and Local Saves
The Game is a fantasy sect-management and idle role-playing game. This release does not require a player account and stores progress in local app storage rather than on jcgame servers. You are responsible for your device and local data. Deleting a save, clearing app storage, uninstalling the Game, changing devices, or experiencing a device or technical failure may permanently remove progress.
3. Rewarded Advertising and Analytics
The Game may offer rewarded advertisements that you can choose to watch. A virtual reward is granted only when the advertising provider confirms completion. Ad availability, loading, and completion are not guaranteed. The Game also uses consent tools and limited analytics related to advertising features, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may continue playing without watching an advertisement, but you will not receive the virtual reward offered for that ad. Advertising content is supplied by third parties and may not reflect the views of jcgame.
4. Virtual Items and Game Balance
Resources, characters, progression, bonuses, ad rewards, and other virtual items are licensed entertainment features. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred outside the Game. We may adjust game balance, availability, requirements, or rewards as part of updates.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use the Game unlawfully or infringe another person’s rights;
- Reverse engineer, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Game except where law expressly permits;
- Use bots, automation, exploits, modified clients, or other means to manipulate ads, rewards, security, saves, or Game operation;
- Introduce malicious code, interfere with services, or attempt unauthorized access; or
- Remove copyright, trademark, ownership, or attribution notices.
6. Intellectual Property
The Game and its code, artwork, audio, text, designs, characters, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to jcgame and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only the limited license above and do not transfer ownership to you.
7. Updates and Availability
We may update, rebalance, suspend, replace, or discontinue any part of the Game, including features and virtual rewards. We do not promise that the Game, analytics, or advertising inventory will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.
8. Third-Party Services
The Android version of the Game uses third-party services including Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, the User Messaging Platform, and Firebase Analytics. Those services may be governed by their own terms and policies. To the extent permitted by law, jcgame is not responsible for third-party advertisements, content, availability, or independent data practices.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Our Data Deletion page explains how to delete local game data and submit a privacy request. Those documents are incorporated into these Terms where permitted by law.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, jcgame will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, progress, profits, or opportunity; or interruption arising from the Game. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful use of the Game or material violation of these Terms. This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer-protection law.
13. Termination
You may stop using and uninstall the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate the license granted by these Terms if you materially violate them. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Game, law, or services. We will publish revised Terms at this URL and update the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
15. Governing Rules and Severability
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
